The Kink Society is a safe place for students to discover themselves in a controlled environment that upholds the ethos of being safe, sane, and consensual. We have a broad definition of kink and will not tolerate kink shaming. We want to clarify that we are not a Fetish Society. The term 'fetish' has a lot of stigmas surrounding it, and while 'fetish' is often perceived as sexual, 'kink' can be sexual or non-sexual.
We aim to create the most welcoming environment possible, with inclusivity and equality for all, in which people's privacy and confidentiality are also respected. We want everyone to feel comfortable around us, free to express themselves without fear of judgement and know that as a society, we will look out for each other.
We look forward to the year ahead and plan to hold many talks and socials.
Please note that SU rules prohibit play within the building, and the society cannot assist members in finding playmates. The SU is not liable for any injury or loss of reputation due to being a member of the society or engaging in play with members on or off the premises. Breach of these prohibitions will result in the de-ratification of the society, not just the banning of members.
